Biography
Wellington Phoenix signed the Polish goalkeeper, Filip Kurto, from Dutch side Roda JC Kerkrade in July 2018.
The 6’ 3’’, 27-year-old began his career in his native country of Poland at Wisla Kraków, one of Poland’s most successful clubs.
Kurto also represented his country right through to the U-21s, before signing for Dutch Eredivisie side, Roda JC in 2012 where he enjoyed three successful seasons at the top of Dutch football including helping Roda JC to remain in the Dutch premier division.
Filip couldn’t wait to sign for the Wellington Phoenix, citing the Hyundai A-League as a great place to push on and fulfil his potential.
"I have known about the A-League for a while, and when I was told there was interest, I felt this offer came at the perfect time for me.
