The kiwi International won a championship with Newcastle Jets in the 2007/08 season, before moving across the Tasman to take up a deal with Wellington Phoenix, immediately receiving the captain’s armband. He’s led the side to four playoff campaigns and played over 273 matches in a Phoenix jersey. In 2013 he became eligible for the All Whites and played in the World Cup Qualifiers against Mexico and has made 24 appearances since switching allegiances, captaining the team several times and playing at the Confederations Cup recently.
