Ali Abbas

A full international with Iraq, Abbas signed with Marconi Stallions of the NSW NPL shortly after arriving in Australia in 2007. Two years later he moved to Newcastle where he spent three seasons with the Jets before a four-season stint at Sydney FC. A 2007 Asian Cup Champion with the Iraq National team, the utility player was on the books of Pohang Steelers before making his move to Wellington on a two-year deal.
