Have you ever dreamed about being an MC for a major sporting event? Do you think you have the voice to make announcements at Westpac Stadium?
Wellington Phoenix are offering two young fans (aged between 10 and 15) the opportunity to experience what it’s like to be a real-life MC or ground announcer at a Wellington Phoenix football game – an amazing chance to experience behind the scenes at a Phoenix match and be part of the gameday action!
The winning MC will get the opportunity to shadow our resident MC, Dave Rybinski, at Phoenix vs Perth Glory on Saturday 17 February. You will accompany Dave for the pre-game activities around the grounds such as interviewing two crowd supporters for the Phoenix trivia, and you will also be down on the pitch at half-time to assist with the three-post challenge.
This is your perfect opportunity to shine using the microphone in front of all the Phoenix supporters. You will also be on the big screen for both of the activities. Exciting!
The winning junior ground announcer will get a behind the scenes experience in the control room with Jay Harvie and the chance to read out some of the ground announcements through the stadium loudspeaker. This may include reading advertisements, team news and upcoming Phoenix event information.
To be in to win, all you have to do is submit a short video (maximum 45 seconds) telling us about yourself, what you think of Wellington Phoenix and why you are keen to be a junior MC or ground announcer. You will also win a Phoenix prize pack featuring a cap, scarf, bag and drink bottle.
