Wellington Phoenix are proud to announce a multi-year partnership with Gazley ŠKODA, a family-owned local business which is among Wellington’s largest and most respected motor groups.

Gazley ŠKODA will be the Club’s official Automotive Partner, appearing as a sleeve sponsor on the Phoenix’s A-League playing kit from next season onwards. The partnership will also see several Nix players driving the new ŠKODA Kamiq Monte Carlo and Club staff utilising ŠKODA Kodiaq vehicles throughout the season, thanks to ŠKODA New Zealand.
Wellington Phoenix General Manager, David Dome, says that aligning with both ŠKODA and Gazley is a major coup for the Club as it heads into next season.
“ŠKODA is one of the world’s great car brands, and in New Zealand they are an extremely forward-thinking organisation, having recently won the tender to supply vehicles to the New Zealand Police,” says Dome.
“Gazley for their part are a big player in Wellington and the three brands align extremely well together – both on and off the pitch – and one thing that’s really struck me about both Gazley and ŠKODA are their desire to be true partners; they really care about the Club’s success and are committed to helping us on our journey over the next few seasons.
“We see both playing a huge part in our promotion of the Club across both New Zealand and Wellington to new and existing fans, our brand presence and even our fan engagement at Sky Stadium and Eden Park – so we’re very excited to have them on board.”
Gazley ŠKODA Group Operations & Marketing Manager, Aaron Musgrove, says that both Gazleys and ŠKODA are ‘super-excited’ for the upcoming season.
“We’re a staunch Wellington business and to be able to get behind our Wellington Phoenix is a really proud moment for the business; especially after watching the team last season and seeing the promise that Uffy [Ufuk Talay] has been able to build within the team – to build on that next season is going to be amazing,” says Musgrove.

“And it’s great to have Gazley and ŠKODA on board, they’re good companies to be involved with the Phoenix as they’re such big brands which align well with our football club – so hopefully it’s a long and winning partnership for all of us.”
Musgrove says that he sees this partnership also being extremely valuable for Phoenix fans as well.
“We’ve got some ideas on how we can help the squad next season, some ideas that Wellington has never seen before, both for our clients and Phoenix fans, so we’re really looking forward to pushing the envelope next season.”
