Harland, general manager of client services for Miramar-based Park Road Post Production, joins former Wellington Mayor Kerry Prendergast, former All White Noah Hickey and Team Wellington chairman Mark Chote on the board alongside Welnix owners Rob Morrison, Gareth Morgan and Campbell Gower.
The board will be chaired by Morrison who is also chairman of Welnix.
“While there is a heap of business experience among Welnix members, we were keen to bring in people with experience in other areas,” Morrison said.
“What we were looking for was a blend of local and footballing knowledge to complement the business acumen.
“I believe we have found just the right mix with these appointments and we are excited about the calibre of the group we have assembled.”
While Welnix is the owners group, the new appointments are to the board of Wellington Phoenix FC which is responsible for the strategic direction and running of the football club.
