Phoenix and Capital Football reward junior players

To celebrate Wellington Phoenix’ 10 year anniversary, the Club and Capital Football are rewarding junior players with a special Junior Nix membership to kick off the 2016/17 season.

All Capital Football registered junior players in the region will receive a Junior Nix card that entitles them to attend the first three games of the Hyundai A-League season free of charge, plus a single pass for one adult to the first game.

Junior Nix cards will be issued in September and players have the opportunity to sign up for the remainder of the season for just $20 (which also includes a free membership pack).

Richard Reid, Capital Football CEO, says ‘there are over 8,000 junior players across 36 clubs in our region and this is a great way to get behind the Wellington Phoenix.’

The Junior Nix membership does not preclude families signing up for a full membership from this week, with kids’ silver ticket just $30.

Phoenix General Manager, David Dome said the initiative was driven by a desire to acknowledge the support the Club gets from its younger fans.

‘We want to celebrate the Club’s 10 years in the Hyundai A-League and we are looking at a way we can give back to the community who has supported us so well.’

‘The season promises to be one full of exciting attacking football and the more kids we can get along to the games and supporting us the better for football in New Zealand.’

‘Who knows, maybe one of these Junior Nix members may be a professional player of the future’, says Dome.
