BLUFFER’S GUIDE

Don’t read too much into fourth-placed Roar’s loss last week to the Wanderers.

The Brisbane outfit showed enough to suggest they’ll be a top four side come season’s end, despite a slim 2-1 loss to a top-class red and black outfit.

And with Jamie Maclaren up front ably supported by Thomas Broich, Brandon Borrello, Henrique, Matt McKay and Spaniard Corona, there’s class across the park for the fans to enjoy.

Making the long flight from Wellington, Phoenix in sixth spot on the ladder will arrive buoyed by a win over Victory on what looked like a cow paddock in Auckland last week.

They will have to endure some pretty hot conditions on late Saturday afternoon but have enough talent across the park to win this one.

But like Roar, there’s enough firepower in their ranks to guarantee end-to-end football and plenty of goalmouth action.

This should be a game to savour for the Cairns fans, who will see live A-League action for the first time on what is apparently on an excellent surface at Cazaly’s Stadium.
