Sunday-s Wellington Phoenix vs Melbourne Heart Charity Match saw one lucky fan leave Westpac Stadium $10,000 richer.

While the action on the park didn-t produce the winning performance that supporters in the Stadium were wanting, the half time entertainment did, with Justin Brown of Whiteman-s Valley being ticketed into the randomly selected lucky seat.

Huawei-s $10k for 10k promotion saw the Club-s Principal Partner, Huawei, add an extra incentive for the crowds to turn up on Sunday evening by offering a $10,000 cash prize when the attendance hit 10,000 fans through the gate.

Andrew Bowater, Huawei Director of Public Affairs said “While the crowd of 9765 did not quite reach the 10,000 mark, the fantastic atmosphere made us want to reward the fans anyway.

“We are as disappointed with the result not going the way of the Phoenix as everyone else is, but we know that the team will come back stronger and push on for a spot in the play-offs”.

Wellington Phoenix Head of Marketing Kyla Lange said “We-re lucky to have a great partner in Huawei. When they suggested this promotion, we jumped at it as a fantastic way to support our fans. Congratulations to Justin on winning such a great prize!”

The next home game is the Phoenix vs Perth Glory on March 9 at Westpac Stadium.
