Phoenix chief executive Tony Pignata said the offer was a token of the club-s appreciation for the support of fans throughout the year.
“We-re fortunate to have a fantastic group of supporters and this special deal is our way of saying thanks for everything they bring to the club, football and Wellington. There are a lot of people doing it tough out there and we think this is a good way for people to put the stresses of the festive season on the backburner and have some fun at what is always a special event at Westpac Stadium. Nothing even comes close to matching the excitement of a Phoenix home game and we want as many people as possible to be part of it.”
Friday night-s match promises to be a huge occasion.
“Not only are we expecting a bumper crowd but this match shapes as a big one for our top-four playoff hopes,” Pignata said. “Our team is in great form and we-re looking to push on through to the playoffs. We-ve had good results against the Mariners this season, so with a big home crowd behind us we-ll be out to turn on some exciting football and get three important competition points.
“Gather up a bunch of friends and family and make a big evening of it on Friday at Westpac Stadium.”
HOW IT WORKS
Wellington Phoenix season members: Simply present your membership card at the Wellington Phoenix store, corner of Cuba and Dixon streets, to receive your free ticket(s). Members receive free tickets according to membership type. For example, if you have a family membership (two adults, two children) you will receive two additional adult and two children-s tickets free. Holders of single memberships will receive one free ticket to the same value. Members can also get their free tickets from Westpac Stadium ticket booths from midday on Friday.
Casual buyers: The two-for-one ticket deal is available to casual buyers at the Phoenix club store, Ticketek outlets and from ticket booths at Westpac Stadium (from midday Friday). There is no limit to the number of additional free tickets you can access. For example, if you purchase 20 adult tickets you will receive another 20 adult tickets at no charge.
