Brendan Foot Supersite Hutt Rec Game Information

The Phoenix head to Lower Hutt on February 14 and Brendan Foot Supersite Hutt Rec is selling fast!

After a three week break for the Asian Cup, the Phoenix now turn their attention to building a temporary stadium at Brendan Foot Supersite Hutt Recreation Ground for three games in February and March. The first game is Saturday 14 February, 5pm against Melbourne City.

Fans going to the Wellington Phoenix v Melbourne City are advised that there will be very limited public parking available on the day and are advised to take the public transport.

The venue is in central Lower Hutt (search Hutt Recreation Ground) and is flanked by Woburn Rd, Laings Rd, Bellevue Rd, Huia St and Myrtle St.

Gates open at midday with lots of family fun and free activities in the ground. Remember to bring a coat as this is an open venue so can get cold when the sun goes down.

Sat 14 Feb:

12.00pm – Gates open

2.00pm – ASB Premiership Curtain Raiser: Phoenix Premiers v Southern United.

5.00pm – Hyundai A League: Phoenix v Melbourne City.

 

TICKETS

With only 9,000 seat capacity and the Phoenix soaring high, make sure you buy early as it will sell out. Get your tickets now from Ticket Direct.

If you already have tickets please check that you print them out before you leave home. Please also check that each ticket has a different barcode as some have been sent out several times and you may have duplicates.

Wellington Phoenix Season Ticket holders and Club Members cards WILL NOT WORK. Members have been sent information on how to redeem their membership cards for game tickets. Any that have not done so already are encouraged to email ibelieve@prod.wellingtonphoenix.aleagues.com.au with their membership details to book. Silver members with new tickets requests will now be booked in Soul or Carnival.

 

Tickets start at just $19 for an adult and $5 for a child (pre-buy prices, plus ticketing fees). Passes for all three matches can also be bought from $51 for adults and $13 for children 16 and under.

Ticket prices increase at the gate so buy online now and print your ticket at home.

TRANSPORT & PARKING

Fans going to the Wellington Phoenix v Melbourne City are advised that there will be very limited public parking available on the day and are advised to take the public transport.

With a new venue, we encourage you to get to the game early to avoid crowds.

With limited street parking and road closures, consider taking the Train from Wellington Central Station to Waterloo Station – leave plenty of time due to the increased demand.

Rail Services

Special Phoenix Game Rail Tickets will be available to purchase for a return journey (Train ONLY) to the Game. They will be available to purchase on the train or from any Tranz Metro Ticket Office at either Upper Hutt or Wellington Railway Stations.

A Phoenix @ Hutt Rec ticket costs $10 (child ticket $5) and gets you return train travel between either: Wellington and Woburn or Waterloo stations OR Upper Hutt and Woburn or Waterloo stations

Rail Timetable

Before the game a regular train timetable will be in operation, with extra seating before kick-off and a special express Phoenix train service departing Wellington at 4pm for Waterloo Station.

There will be additional seating capacity after the game, and additional services departing Waterloo and Woburn express to Wellington at 7.10pm and 7.40pm.

If you decide to travel by train, remember to travel early to avoid the crowds.

Bus Services

Wellington Phoenix Season Ticket holders get free Go Wellington buses from their local stop (on regular bus schedules) to Wellington Railway Station pre-game and home from Wellington Railway Station post-game as available for Westpac Stadium home games.

FREE Pre-Match Shuttle Bus Services – There will be a limited FREE pre-match shuttle service from Waterloo Station to Hutt Rec on a continuous loop for the following dates and times: Saturday 14 February 3.30pm – 5pm

FREE Post-Match Shuttle Bus Services – There will be a limited FREE post-match shuttle service from Hutt Rec to Waterloo station on a continuous loop for the following dates and times: Saturday 14 February between 7pm and 9pm

There will be a FREE post-match shuttle service running a continuous loop starting at Hutt Rec with 4 stops along the way at Queensgate, Station Village, Petone Station, Alicetown before returning back to Hutt Rec.  This service will run on Saturday 14 February between 7pm and 8.30pm

Normal Timetabled Services:

Routes 130 and 83 stop at Hutt Rec and these services will run to normal timetables. See individual timetables for more information.

Parking

Parking is very limited. You can park on the street or some parking is available at Hutt Valley High School as a fundraiser.

Disabled car parking (with permit) is available on Bellevue Road.
