Both sides are coming off promising starts to season 2012/13. The Phoenix out played Sydney FC 2-0 in the opening game of the season and then, on the back of nine players being unavailable, put in a heroic effort to draw 1-1 with Melbourne Heart away.
Last week, Brisbane hosted one of the favourites in Melbourne Victory and comprehensively beat the Victorians 5-0 in their worst ever defeat.
It promises to be a titanic battle and should show where the Phoenix’s title challenge is positioned this season.
