A former Celtic and Scotland international goalkeeper, Gould joins the Phoenix as assistant coach after three seasons as head coach of New Zealand Football Championship club Hawke’s Bay United. Gould, 40, played more than 150 games in goal for Celtic from 1997-2003 and also represented Coventry, Bradford City and Preston North End in England. He earned two international caps with Scotland. He coaches the Phoenix’s goalkeepers and takes charge of other coaching areas and responsibilities.
